necessarily run every job
with CTP plates. Some commercial printing companies run both
CTP and CTF systems, they may prefer to use film to update
jobs that are standing in film or without electronic files rather
than convert the entire job to a ¡°fully-imposed¡± workflow for CTP.
Some advertisers continue to supply film for their publications so
that they can ¡°lock¡± the content of the ad, although this practice
is changing, especially with the advent of PDF workflows that
